"Repentance: It's Your Turn" (Part 2)
Ezekiel 18:20-32
Length Approximately 00:38:36
---
The call to repent--to turn from sin, and turn to God--is woven prominently throughout all of Scripture. This is because there is no forgiveness without repentance, and there is no repentance without turning--for repentance IS turning. But it must be remembered that repentance is a gift God grants, and a work God does to us and in us...a sinner does not turn himself, but simply surrenders to the rough embrace of the God who turns him from his sin and to the crucified, risen, and glorified Christ. We apologize that a portion of the end of this message was cut off.

"Repentance: It's Your Turn"
Isaiah 55:6-7, 2 Chronicles 7:14
Length Approximately 00:40:23
---
Biblical repentance is God's rough embrace. There is bruising and brokenness, but also joyous relief and celebration--because it is a matter of God turning a sinner from the wretchedness of his sins and unto the Savior, Jesus Christ, in whom forgiveness and salvation is found. The word "repent," most simply defined, means "to turn." There is no forgiveness without repentance, and there is no repentance without turning, because repentance IS turning...God turning a sinner from his sin, and to Christ crucified.

"The 7-fold Fruits of Godly Sorrow"
2 Corinthians 7:11
Length Approximately 00:38:48
---
The congregation at Corinth had been ripe with sin, and with unconcern over it. Paul wrote them a blunt letter confronting them, calling them to repentance. And in 2 Corinthians 7:11, we find Paul celebrating the fact that repentance--God's rough embrace--had done its work among the Corinthians, and was producing wonderful fruits in their lives. This message considers the seven fruits Paul identifies, and calls us to consider if they are being produced in our lives.
