Pastor Dennis Norby
"The Advance of the Gospel"
Length Approximately: 00:28:03
Philippians 1:12-18a
---
Today's message looked at Paul's encouragement to the people of Philippi. They may have seen his time in prison as a set back to furthering the Gospel but Paul did not. In fact, he saw the Gospel do it's powerful work among those who were guarding him. We also looked a bit at the life of Haralan Popov a man tortured for his faith in Bulgaria. He too saw the Gospel advance because of his chains.

Pastor Dana Coyle
"And this is my prayer..."
Length Approximately: 00:36:33
Philippians 1:9-11
--
The prayers of Paul are rich repositories of truth and spiritual depth. He prays for the Philippians to become more surrendered to Christ...more filled with the truth of Christ's Word...and more marked by holy living in preparation for the return of Christ. These are Christ's passions for all His people, including all Believers today. He continually intercedes for us to those ends! And they set forth a pattern of how Believers should pray for one another as well.

"Retain, Rest, Remain"
Length Approximately: 00:44:10
Philippians 1:1-8
--
May 17 was Confirmation Sunday at Helmar. Pastor Coyle made special application of Philippians 1:1-8 to the Confirmands. They were exhorted to "retain" a heart receptive to the truths of God's Word, in accordance with their testimonies. They were encouraged to "rest" in God's faithfulness, by which He promises to finish the good work He began in them; their confidence must be in His faithfulness rather than their own. And they were called upon to "remain" in the congregation, which is essential since a genuine work of God in a person's heart will produce a love for, and loyalty to, the congregation.

"Benediction"
Length Approximately 00:42:09
Philippians 1:1-8
---
Today's message looks at the beginning verses of the book of Philippians and focuses our hearts and minds on the benediction with which Paul begins this letter. "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ" Paul's letter to the Philippians clearly shows Paul's love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his love for the people of Philippi. We are challenged in this message to bless those around us by declaring the desire of God, the joy of God, to bestow grace and peace to people.

"Philippians"
Length Approximately 00:22:06
---
Today's message was an introduction into a series in which Pastor Coyle will preach through the book of Philippians. The message was a recitation from memory of the book of Philippians. The letter was written by the Apostle Paul to believers. In this recitation we were able to, in a small way, have a similar experience to those in Philippi who were hearing the message for the first time.
