How does one worship God acceptably, in a manner pleasing to Him? Pleasing worship is powered by gratitude, because God is the King of all grace, mercy, and love, whereby He redeems sinners. And pleasing worship must be seasoned with godly fear, because God is a Consuming Fire. True worship requires both gratitude and godly fear.

Today's message looked at what it means to delight in the Lord. The Psalm gives a great promise to the one who delights in the Lord. He will give them the desires of their heart. It also makes clear that the one who delights in the Lord has had their heart changed; therefore their desires are different as well. Those who delight in the Lord crave a closer relationship with the Lord and the "health and wealth" that some seek is far from their hearts.
