Length Approximately: 00:25:03
Psalm 119:97-104
---
Today's message looks at part of the longest chapter in the Bible. The Psalm is structured as an acrostic poem with the first letter of the verse beginning with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This section stresses the importance and blessing of meditating on the Word of God. Time spent learning from God's Word will never be wasted. Fill up our days, fill up our minds, fill up our hearts with God's Word in 2010.

"When the Time Had Fully Come"
Length Approximately 00:25:39
Galatians 4:1-7
---
Today's message looks at the wonderful plan of God to bring to fruition His plan of salvation at the right time. It wasn't some mistake in planning that caused God to send His Son; it was part of His eternal plan. So at the right time Jesus was born of a woman under law to redeem those under law. All of humanity is under law unless freed by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
Christmas is all about being reminded of that work of salvation.

"His Name is Mighty God"

Length Approximately: 00:38:54

Isaiah 9:6

---
One of the names of the Christ who was born in Bethlehem--Jesus, God's own Son--is "Mighty God." The prophet Isaiah declared that the mighty One was was coming would come "robed in splendor, striding forth in the greatness of His strength...mighty to save." As Mighty God, Jesus utterly defeated sin, death and the devil through His death and resurrection! And thus by His coming He has split all humanity into two camps--the repentant (saved) and the unrepentant (lost). And so the message of Christmas is one of great urgency--"repent!" And also great joy for those who thus receive it.

"His Name is Counselor"
Length Approximately 00:42:04
Isaiah 9:6-7
---
Jesus Christ is the "Counselor," sent according to God's promise. He is the "counsel" of God, meaning that He was and is God's plan for providing salvation for lost and sinful mankind...a counsel/plan of divine love and grace that was established in eternity before He had even created us. And Jesus is also the all-knowing and all-wise "Counselor" who seeks to minister to us in every need and in every way. He sorts us out, He sets us straight, and He guides us into the pathways of what is true, right, and good. He is our Savior, and our truest Friend.

"His Name is Wonderful"
Length Approximately 00:36:42
Isaiah 9:1-7
---
"Wonderful" is one of the titles assigned by the prophet Isaiah to the coming Savior, the Christ--the one who would bring light into darkness, life into death, freedom into bondage, and deliverance from oppression. This title declares that the incarnation of the Christ is utterly miraculous! The incarnation of Christ is the greatest miracle of God, the one upon which Christ's redemptive work entirely depends. He is Wonderful, and all He does is wonderful...so we should be wonder-FULL, filled with wonder at the miracle He is, and the miracle of His salvation.

"A Father's Effect - A Case Study"
Length Approximately 00:36:15
I Samuel 2, Job 1, Acts 10
---
Today's message took a look at some examples from Scripture of fathers dealing with their children. We looked together at a bad example, a couple of good examples, and the perfect example God Himself. As fathers we have an immense effect on the spiritual lives of our children. We must be leaders in prayer and in encouraging worship as a priority. May God's grace strengthen men to lead their families as God intends.

"How to be a Successful Spiritual Dad"
Length Approximately 00:49:57
Ephesians 6:4
---
Fathers are tasked by the Lord with the responsibility of imparting to their children, by means of the Word of God, a truly Biblical education and worldview. We are to use the Word of God to teach our children what is right (in doctrine and ethics), and to correct them when they are in the wrong. This is what is meant by "the training and instruction of the Lord." And several practical ideas of how to go about doing this were discussed.
